About

We are a student-run professional blog focused on posting up to date information about news and events in student organizations and the Department of Library and Information Studies at the University at Buffalo. We are interested in librarianship, alumni activities, job postings, conference summaries, updates from special courses (i.e., Digital Libraries) and media reviews involving libraries and librarians. We also post polls in order to promote networking and interest amongst the students.

There are several student organizations for those in the DLIS program at UB.

UB-ALA – promotes the goals of the American Library Association

LIS GSA – handles social events and communication with the department

UB-SLA – Special Libraries Association
